WEBSTER – Police arrested a local man on drug distribution charges after complaints by residents last week.
The Webster Police Department announced on Tuesday that it received complaints of distribution of heroin near Pearl Street by a man driving a grey Audi. Detectives identified Jeffrey Milani, 34, of Oxford, as a suspect.
On Wednesday, Aug. 14, police learned Milani was conducting a transaction on Pearl Street. A detective surveilling the area allegedly saw Milani pick up an individual and drop him off a short distance away. An officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle Milani was driving.
The officer detained Milani after he attempted to exit his vehicle during the stop.
Webster Police say that during a search of the vehicle, officers discovered:
- Multiple baggies containing what officers believed to be heroin;
- Multiple cell phones; and
- $789 in cash.
Police arrested Milani, who faces charges of Possession to Distribute Class A Drug (subsequent offense) and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Driver’s License (subsequent offense).
Milani posted $1,000 bail and was released. He was arraigned the following day at Dudley District Court.
