According to a new report from the team at Zippia, the side dish Bay Staters are looking forward to the most is mashed potatoes.
Massachusetts is among nine states that claim mashed potatoes as its most popular Thanksgiving side, making it the most popular side dish in the U.S.
Zippia used Google Trends to determine what Thanksgiving side each state eats a disproportionate amount of. They examined over 20 classic Thanksgiving sides. Zippia then determined what side is searched a disproportionately, high amount.
According to Zippia’s report, rolls is the next most popular Thanksgiving side with four states favoring them. See the full map below here:
