Movies on the Worcester Common Returns June 15

WORCESTER – Movies on the Common returns to bring an outdoor cinema experience back to the Worcester Common, behind City Hall at 455 Main Street, for four films starting on June 15.

Each showing this year will feature activities prior to the start of the film, including comedy, caricature artists, music, face painting, local food, and more. Pre-movie activities begin at 6:30 PM with the movie starting at dusk.

The scheduled movies in the 2023 series are:

  • Comedy Night on Thursday, June 15: “Napoleon Dynamite”
  • Disability Pride Night on Thursday, July 20: “Turning Red”
  • Filmed in Worcester Night on Thursday, August 17: “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”
  • College Night on September 21: Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves

Movies are free to attend and open to the public. Attendees should arrive early as space and seating location is first come, first served. Bringing your own blanket or seating is encouraged.

The first 100 attendees receive free popcorn and the first 50 attendees also receive a free voucher for food or drink from one of the on-site food vendors. Bringing your own drinks is allowed.

The Mercantile Center, Clark University, Perrone Landscaping, the Downtown Worcester BID, and the City of Worcester presents the 2023 Movies on the Common series.
