WORCESTER – Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream is coming to a retail location in College Square, across from the Holy Cross College, in the former Whitall Mills building in Worcester in August.
Julia Moriconi, the owner of the premium ice cream maker, announced on Monday the planned Aug. 18 soft opening of Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream at 3 Brussels St., Suite 140. Moriconi will appear before the Worcester License Commission on Aug. 10.
The Brussels Street location prepackaged pints and half pints as well as ice cream-filled pastries, ice cream cannoli, ice cream sandwiches, and other items. It will also feature cakes, pies, and tart in freezer display cases. Italian ice made with real fruit will also be available.
The site will have an open kitchen setup, allowing customers to see product production.
Mrs. Moriconi’s Ice Cream began in the summer of 2020 and has grown through farmers markets, pop-up sales, and deliveries. It also has a food truck and formerly has a small retail location in Tatnuck Square.
