A recent study of the most popular Christmas movies in all 50 states has The Muppet Christmas Carol as the favorite in Massachusetts.
The study — Which Christmas Movie is Most Popular in Your State? — was compiled by the research experts at Comparitech.
Comparitech used the list of the Top 50 Most Popular Christmas Movies on IMDB.com and then searched each movie on Google Trends to see which state that movie was trending the most.
If a state came up twice, Comparitech used the film that ranked higher on Google Trends.
The Muppet Christmas Carol was released in 1992 and has since become a Christmas classic. Actor Michael Caine plays “Ebenezer Scrooge” and Kermit the Frog plays “Bob Cratchit” in the Muppet’s take on the Charles Dickens’ classic.
