WORCESTER – Carlos Asencio, 28, of Derry, New Hampshire faces multiple charges including Murder, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Resisting Arrest for a double stabbing at O’Connor’s Restaurant in Worcester on Wednesday night.
A 31-year-old woman who Asencio previously dated was rushed to the hospital but later pronounced deceased.
Ascencio also had outstanding warrants in connection with an attack on a woman in Ayer back in April. Ascencio broke into the woman’s home and used a stun gun on her. According to a report from the Telegram & Gazette, the Worcester Police Dept. said that the victim of Ascencio’s attack on Wednesday night at O’Connor’s is the same woman he attacked in Ayer in April.
After Asencio entered the restaurant and located the victim another patron rushed to her aid. He was also stabbed and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Several patrons held down Asencio until police arrived.
