WORCESTER – The owners of Kenichi Bistro and Sake Bomb Bistro will be opening up a third location – Wan Wang — at 401 Park Ave in Worcester, the former home of Ho Toy Luau Restaurant.

According to co-owner Kenny Huang, the restaurant will open within a few months and likely “before the summer.”
As ThisWeekinWorcester.com was first to report last March, Huang and his brother Bobby — owners of Kenichi, Sake Bomb and K + B Real Estate — had originally planned to open the restaurant in Sept. 2018.
However, due to a lengthy permit procedure and a major reconstruction of the former Ho Toy space, the opening was pushed back several months.
According to Kenny Huang, the Wan Wang menu will feature both the traditional Chinese food items that could be found at the former Ho Toy and add new items that reflect their current menu selections at Kenichi and Sake Bomb.
“The market has changed. People are looking for something new,” Kenny told ThisWeekinWorcester.com last March. “We will bring the same things people really like from Kenichi and Sake Bomb, but keep what [Ho Toy] did well.”
Ho Toy officially closed in late January 2018.

According to Huang, the Wan Wang signage outside of the building was designed to reflect the classic Ho Toy signage pictured below.
