WORCESTER – A local man with outstanding warrants now faces additional charges after his arrest on Tuesday, December 28, for outstanding warrants for firearm charges.
Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Unit, assisted by a Worcester Police K9 officer, apprehended Tuesday, Wilbert Nieves, 23, of Worcester, at his Country Club Boulevard home around 8 AM.
When Law enforcement arrived at the home, a female consented to a search of the apartment, according to the Worcester Police Department. Members of the joint team located Nieves hiding under a bed with a firearm in his possession.
After being removed from under the bed, without incident, and the firearm seized, Nieves was placed under arrest.
Nieves faces additional charges of Possession of a Firearm without an FID Card, Carrying a Firearm without a License and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
