Northborough Man Charged with Multiple Counts of Rape, Human Trafficking

MILLBURY – A Northborough man was arrested on Tuesday morning in Millbury following a two-year human trafficking investigation by the Massachusetts State Police, Northborough Police Department and Worcester Police Department.

63-year-old John B. Clayton IV will be arraigned in Worcester Superior Court today. He is charged with seven counts of trafficking a person for sexual servitude, two counts of rape, and two counts of intimidation of a witness.

Investigators identified multiple women whom, as alleged by the evidence, were targeted, manipulated, and exploited by Clayton.

According to the Massachusetts State Police, victims allegedly preyed upon by Clayton were drug addicts, prostitutes, and poor .

The investigation into Clayton began in May 2018.

He surrendered at State Police-Milbury, was booked, and was transported to court.

More information will be released following his arraignment. The case is being prosecuted by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
