Police Officer Calling Hours and Funeral Service Announced

WORCESTER - The Worcester Police Department announced that services for Officer Enmanuel Familia will take place on Wednesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 10.

Familia died on Friday, June 5, when he drowned in Green Hill Pond while attempting to rescue a teen from drowning.

St. John’s Catholic Church on 44 Temple St. in Worcester will hold calling hours on Wednesday, June 9, from 4 PM to 8 PM.

St. Johns Catholic Church will also hold funeral services on Thursday, June 10, starting at 10 AM.

Those attending the funeral should report directly to the church.

Familia’s burial will take place immediately following the funeral at St. John’s Cemetery.
