WORCESTER – Ollie’s Bargain Outlet will open next month on Grafton St. in Worcester.
Ollie’s — which will host its Grand Opening on Wednesday, October 16 in South Plaza at 867 Grafton St. — is the first of its chain to open in Massachusetts and will use the Building #19 in its name.
As ThisWeekinWorcester.com previously reported, the store will be branded as Ollie’s Bargain Outlet @ Building #19.
Ollie’s will open in the former home of the Fallas clothing store.
With more than 330 stores in 23 states across the country, Ollie’s offers discounts on items from housewares, food, clothing, and toys to sporting goods, pet supplies and holiday items — everything a customer is looking for – with up to 70% off on closeout and excess inventory on brand-name merchandise.
Ollie’s Bargain Outlet was founded in 1982 by Morton Bernstein. The first store was opened in Mechanicsburg, PA, just outside Harrisburg.
In what could be deemed a hilarious coincidence, Ollie’s will also being opening a store in another “Worcester” — except it’s spelled Wooster and it’s in Ohio — early next month.
