“My time at Papa Gino’s has been a family affair ever since I first started in 1971,” said Buffi. “From my time working right alongside our founder Mike Valerio until today, I have felt a great sense of pride and loyalty. My favorite part of the job is interacting with guests who have been coming to our restaurant for years and years and have become part of our family here.”

Buffi has worked in Worcester for all but two of her 50 years.

“You don’t come along someone with this kind of dedication and sense of service often,” said Sterret. “Described by many of her colleagues as passionate, loyal, caring and dedicated, Buffi is a shining example of our values as a neighborhood pizzeria with deep ties to the community. We truly can’t thank her enough for being such an incredible ambassador for our brand and a loyal team member for almost as long as we’ve been in business.”
