WORCESTER – A popular national pretzel franchise is taking over the former home of Wholly Cannoli on Grafton Street in Worcester.
Philly Pretzel Factory, with nearly 150 franchise locations across more than a dozen states, including Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Florida, is opening its second location in Massachusetts at 490 Grafton St. There is a franchise location in Revere.
Wholly Cannoli, which had been in operation for nearly 25 years, closed earlier this year.
The Philly Pretzel Factory menu showcases hand-twisted, fresh basked pretzels, pretzel twists, powdered cinnamon pretzels, mini pretzel dogs, and more.
Franchise owners Nicole and Christopher Stifnagle appeared before the Worcester License Commission on Thursday. According to the Stifnagles, renovations at the Grafton Street location are expected to begin before the end of the year.
Philly Pretzel Factory is expected to open in April 2025.
