WORCESTER – Even on an overcast and sporadically rainy day, thousands of people flocked to Worcester’s Green Hill Park for the 2019 Worcester Food Truck Throwdown.

This year there were 29 food trucks competing for the “Best in Worcester” award. This year’s winner is Patruno’s Place — serving up meatball grinders and meatball sliders.
Patruno’s was voted as winner by several local celebrity judges, including representatives from ThisWeekinWorcester.com.
5,000 people were expected at this year’s Throwdown, and by all indications – and even in spite of the gloomy weather – the event will see at least that many in attendance.
The general public also voted for their favorite truck to help choose the “People’s Choice Award.” This year’s winner was gourmet grilled cheese truck, Say Cheese.
