WORCESTER – The Massachusetts Pirates, one of the newest members of the National Arena League [NAL], has released their 2018 schedule for their inaugural season.

The Pirates will host the Maine Mammoths on April 7 at the DCU Center in Worcester in what the NAL hopes to become a “local” rivalry between the two teams.

The Pirates will also travel to Jacksonville to take on the defending NAL Champions Jacksonville Sharks in the Sharks’ home opener on Saturday, April 14.

The NAL has highlighted the Pirates’ Week 13 matchup against the Columbus Lions in Columbus on June 30 as a game with possible “big playoff implications.”

“We want to thank all of our loyal fans for their patience as we put out the best possible schedule for our 2018 campaign” stated NAL Commissioner Chris Siegfried.  “The league put a lot of value into continuing existing rivalries, while helping to establish new ones.  We are confident that the level of play across the board with our six teams will make for an action packed year.  We can’t wait to get started.”
