WORCESTER – The National Weather Service [NWS] is expecting “widespread power outages” due to strong, damaging winds across Worcester County on Monday.

The NWS issued a High Wind Warning late Sunday night and will continue until 7 PM on Monday.

According to the NWS, damaging winds from 15 to 25 MPH with wind gusts up to 65 MPH will blow down trees and power lines and travel will be difficult for taller vehicles.

NWS advises all people in the area to tie down loose outdoor objects and to take any necessary precautions when possible.
