WORCESTER – The winners of a local scavenger hunt in Worcester will receive a 1.50-carat lab-grown diamond and a $600 credit toward the purchase of jewelry from iLah Jewelry, at 218 Franklin St. in Worcester.

From 3 PM to 7 PM on Saturday, Nov. 30, teams will compete in a city-wide scavenger hunt, which will include challenges and special offers at local businesses including bars, restaurants, retail stores, tattoo shops and piercing studios. Some challenges will require purchases, while other will be free to complete.

The competition will award points for team creativity, including for the best costume and distance travelled to compete in the contest.

Participants must have an Instagram account to take part in most challenges.

Each team can include up to three people. The entry fee per team is $20. Teams who register early also receive a helpful hint by email on one challenge.

Registration is open to those 18 years old and above, but some businesses included in challenges may have 21+ restrictions.

Contest organizers say the competition has multiple paths to victory to “ensure anyone can win without breaking the bank.”
