WORCESTER – A Worcester County Grand Jury indicted a man for murder on Wednesday, May 18, in the fatal stabbing of 18-year-old Gadiel Maria in Fitchburg on March 18.
Jose Ramos Solis, 22, of Fitchburg, is accused if stabbing Maria during an altercation near Spruce Street and Salem Street in Fitchburg. Investigators believe Maria drove himself to another location after being stabbed and was then transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ramos Solis will be arraigned in Worcester Superior court at a date not yet announced.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Maria’s death a homicide.
