WORCESTER - The Worcester Regional Environmental Council hosts "Sowing Spring Veggies" at the YouthGROW Farm at 42 Lagrange St. in Worcester on Thursday, March 9, from 5 PM to 7 PM.

During this session, which includes Jen Burt of Dismas Family Farm in Worcester, attendees will learn to start and harvest fresh vegetables early in the spring. The discussion will include information on cold tolerant varieties,  simple ways to protect your plants from the cold, and other techniques that can help you have vegetables before most have started planting.

The session is free but requires registration.
