A new report from the data experts at Wallethub praises Worcester’s residents for their responsible spending and ability to save their hard earned money.

The report – 2017’s Best & Worst Cities for Wallet Fitness – compared more than 180 U.S. cities based on 29 key indicators including Credit Standing,  Responsible Spending, Savings, Risk Exposure and Earning Power.

Of the 180 cities measured, Worcester ranked #60. Among New England cities, Worcester was well behind Warwick, (#10), Boston (#14), Nashua (#30), but ahead of Manchester (#61) and Providence (#114).
