Worcester Man Arrested for Breaking into Popular Pleasant St. Restaurant

WORCESTER – A man was arrested early Saturday morning in Worcester after breaking into a restaurant on Pleasant St.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], 52-year-old Keith Ward, of Worcester, was placed under arrest for breaking & entering, larceny from a building and vandalism.

Around 3:15 AM on Saturday, officers reported to Shawarma Palace at 3 Pleasant St. for a commercial break-in.

When officers arrived, they found the front door glass had been smashed. Security cameras revealed that Ward had smashed the window with a hard object, entered the building and stole several items.

Police later found the items in Ward’s backpack.  He will be arraigned in Worcester District Court.
