‘Bad Sign’ Could Show the Way to Ricky Duran’s Top 8 Selection on ‘The Voice’

On Monday night, Worcester singer Ricky Duran took the stage once again in hopes of advancing to the Top 8 in NBC’s singing competition show The Voice.

And once again, Duran brought down the house.

Duran performed a rendition of Albert King’s blues classic “Born Under a Bad Sign” with his electric guitar in the middle of a ring of green lighting and fire on the stage.

Week after week, The Voice judges appear more and more impressed — and this week is no different.

“There’s no secret. You’re incredible,” John Legend said. “…Every week you show us why you belong here. And why we expect to see you go very far on this show. You’re an incredible performer.”

Duran’s coach Blake Shelton said, “America, if this guy doesn’t belong in the finale, I will kiss you’re collective butts. This guy deserves to be in the finale. Put him in there.”
