WORCESTER – A search warrant executed by the Drug Enforcement Administration [DEA] and Worcester Police Vice Squad on Wednesday, January 12, led to a man facing drug and gun charges.
Office arrived at a Bridgeport Street around 12:40 PM on Wednesday to execute the search warrant. According to the Worcester Police Department, they also had probable cause to arrest the resident, Alan Rodriguez, 25, distributed cocaine and marijuana.
After detaining Rodriguez, officers entered the home and located two handguns, what police described as “a large amount of marijuana packaged for resale,” and a bag of what they suspected is psilocybin mushrooms.
Rodriguez does not have a license to carry firearms. One weapon did not have a serial number.
Rodriguez faces charges of:
- Distribution of a Class B Substance (Cocaine)
- Two counts of Possession of a Firearm without a License (2nd or subsequent offense)
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
- Distribution of a Class D Substance
- Possession of a Class C Substance.
