WORCESTER – Police responded to a report of a man with a gun near Union Street early Friday morning, leading to the arrest of Pablo Roman, 19, of Worcester.
Worcester Police received a report at around 12:15 AM that a man was seen holding a handgun. Police responded to the scene and began searching for the man based on the description given in the report.
Officer located Roman near the bus hub on Foster Street. He allegedly ran as they approached him.
When police caught up to him, they say they saw the a firearm through an open pant led. Roman eventually stopped and was placed in handcuffs before police removed the weapon, which they say had a loaded magazine.
Roman does not have a license to carry firearms and faces charges of:
- Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm;
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card;
- Disorderly while Armed; and
- Trespassing.
