WORCESTER – A Worcester bookstore and café has a special Valentine’s activity for parents and kids.

Root and Press — located in Tatnuck Square at 623 Chandler St. — is asking kids to create Valentines for their favorite book or author. In exchange, the bookstore will present them with a coupon good for a free hot chocolate, milkshake, or smoothie.

Root and Press is taking down the ornaments from their holiday tree and will make a Valentine’s Day tree with the Valentines created by the kids.

The bookstore opens each day Wednesday through Sunday at 9 AM. It’s currently under the statewide capacity limit of 25 percent, so plan accordingly before you drop your Valentines off.

You can check out their book selection online and take a look at the specials at their in-house café here.
