Crozier —  along with Lionel Bermudez of Worcester and Scott Phelan of Millbury  — was indicted on Conspiracy to arson and arson of a dwelling charges after attempting to burn down the Dixfield St. residence in January 2015 in a futile attempt to collect insurance money. In 2017, Hatheway’s mother, Brenda Hatheway, was killed in an act of domestic violence in Webster by her boyfriend Joseph Kenadek.

Kenadek is serving seven to years in prison for second-degree murder.
