WORCESTER – Worcester Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Sunday night, leading to the arrest of a local man on firearms charges.
Police responded to Birch Street at around 11:30 PM. Upon arrival at the scene, police say they witnessed a man running up the stairs of a nearby residence.
At the scene, officers located evidence that shots were fired .
According to the Worcester Police Department, officers located a loaded handgun in a common area of the apartment and arrested Christian Tian-Salvador, 19, of Worcester, on multiple firearms charges:
- Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm;
- Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device;
- Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling;
- Improper Storage of a Firearm; and
- Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
