Worcester’s Sam James’ Cover of ‘Savage’ Makes Facebook’s ‘Peace Out 2020’

Facebook’s end of the year recap — “Peace Out 2020” — featured Worcester’s own Sam James as one of several artists putting their own spin on Megan Thee Stallion’s hit song, “Savage.”

James, who has gone viral on social media in 2020 for his unique acoustic covers of popular hit singles, rounded out a group of artists whose cover of “Savage” was well received over the past year as part of the special’s  “Music that Got Me Through 2020.”

The special was hosted Keke Palmer and David Dobrik, with appearances from Snoop Dogg, Nikki Glaser, Anne Hathaway and Becky G.

 

James’ rendition of “Savage” was viewed more than 258,000 times on Instagram and another 166,000 times on his YouTube page.
