BOYLSTON – A report of an attempted kidnapping led to the arrest of a 59-year-old Boylston man on Wednesday, June 15.
Boylston Police responded to Mill Road in response to a report of a man who attempted to lure a juvenile into his home. After being refused, the man allegedly chased the juvenile down the road.
The juvenile provided a description to police and later identified David Shays, 59, of Boylston, as the man involved in the incident.
Shays faces charges of:
- Enticing a Child Under 16 years old;
- Attempting to Commit a Crime (Kidnapping); and
- Assault
Bail was set at $15,000. After booking at the Boylston Police Department, Shays was transported to the Worcester Police Department for holding.
