Shooting Suspect Arrested in Worcester

WORCESTER – Worcester Police responded to a report of a shooting on Goulding St. on Saturday, June 13, at about 6 PM.

Officers arrived to find a man shot in the leg outside his residence. The victim was transferred to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation led to Javier Camacho, 38, Worcester, being suspected in the shooting.

Camacho was located during a vehicle stop on Dix St. on Tuesday, June 16, and placed under arrest.

Camacho faces several charges.

  • Armed Assault to Murder
  • Carrying a Firearm without a License
  • Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License
  • Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card
  • Firearm Use in Felony
  • Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
