SHREWSBURY – Police responded to a local car dealership on Tuesday, April 27, after a report of a carjacking shortly after 2 PM.
The victim, a salesperson, reported that a man displayed a firearm while on a test drive. The salesperson escaped the vehicle and fled the area.
After a brief investigation, police located the vehicle on Green St. An officer found the suspect in the woods nearby and detained him.
The man, identified as Phuc Nguyen, faces the following charges:
- Carjacking
- Larceny of a Motor Vehicle
- Armed Robbery
- Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,200
- Assault with a Dangerous Weapon
- Threatening To Commit a Crime – Murder
