Shrewsbury Police Searching for Missing 72-year-old Man

UPDATE: Per Massachusetts State Police, Mr. Babbitt was found late Monday evening.

SHREWSBURY – The Shrewsbury Police Dept. is searching for 72-year-old Mark Babbitt. The Massachusetts State Police [MSP] have issued a Silver Alert for Mr. Babbitt.

According to the MSP, Babbitt was last seen wearing a navy blue sport coat and possibly tan pants. Babbitt [pictured below] is a white male with gray hair, standing roughly 6 feet tall and 165 pounds. Mr. Babbit may be driving a black 2011 Volkswagen Jetta – MA plate 2HX988 – with a UCONN Huskies sticker on the rear driver’s side window.

A Silver Alert is issued for missing persons – especially senior citizens with Alzehimer’s disease, dementia or other mental disabilities. It is not known at this time if Mr. Babbitt suffers from any of these disabilities.

Mr. Babbitt is known to frequent the Northborough and Westborough areas. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Shrewsbury Police Department 508-845-1212.
