WESTBOROUGH – An employee of Westborough Public Schools at Fales Elementary School, at 50 Eli Whitney Street, was arrested on Monday, September 26, on child pornography charges.
The Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime/ ICAC Task Force received an alert from the Cyber Tipline of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to the investigation of Andrew Size, 52, of Westborough. The investigation resulted in a search warrant issued for Size’s residence, leading to his arrest on Monday.
In a letter to faculty and parents, Westborough Public School Superintendent Amber Bock described the situation as, “an active investigation of a night custodial employee at Fales Elementary School.”
She also said that, “This individual has been placed on administrative leave and will not be allowed to return to campus pending the outcome of this investigation.”
Late Monday afternoon Westborough Police and a Massachusetts State Police forensic unit, with assistance from a specialized electronics detecting K-9 unit from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Department in Hoffstown, New Hampshire, conducted a search of Fales Elementary School, the school’s network, and its computers. That search did not locate any inappropriate content related to the investigation or any devices that would capture images of students.
The Westborough Police Department said that the images recovered in the investigation do not depict any minors from Westborough.
Size was arraigned Tuesday at Westborough District Court.
Westborough Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
