WORCESTER – After 40 years, the incredibly popular roller skating center/birthday party capital of Worcester is closing.

On Monday, Skylite Roller Skating Center announced in a Facebook post it’s closing its doors.

The post [see below] reads: “The decision to close Skylite was not an easy one. The generations of families, and all of our customers have meant so much to us. Your loyalty and support over the years made our business what it was, and we want to thank you very much.”

Skylite had been closed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the skating rink was open for much of the spring and early summer taking takeout orders of pizza, cakes and fries.
