Snow Tracks Lead Worcester PD to Domestic Assault Suspect

WORCESTER – An arrest was made in a domestic violence incident Monday night, February 15, in Worcester after officers followed snow tracks leading to the suspect.

According to the Worcester Police Department [WPD], officers were dispatched to a home on Plantation St. around 8:53 PM for a report of a person with a gun.

Police were informed a male suspect pointe a gun at another male and then pistol whipped the male in the face with the gun.

The suspect then fled the area on the foot. Officers were given a detailed description of the suspect and upon arrival they discovered fresh tracks in the snow leading them to the area of Amesbury and Lincoln streets.

The suspect was found on Lincoln St. and when officers approached him he threw his coat on the ground. Inside the coat was a firearm, ammunition, crack cocaine, Percocet pills and a large amount of cash.

The suspect was charged with assault and battery (domestic), assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, unlawfully carrying a firearm, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a loaded firearm, improper storage of a firearm, use of firearm in commission of a felony, two counts of possession of class B substance with intent to distribute.

This is a domestic violence incident and police won’t release the suspect’s name due to the domestic violence law.
