A Federal District Court judge has sentenced convicted child pornography producer Stephen Mantha, 66, Spencer, for the second time.

Mantha was a United States Postal Service [USPS] employee in the summer of 2015 when federal investigators learned of suspicious internet searches being run on a computer at a Shrewsbury Postal facility.

The resulting investigation led investigators to believe Mantha searches for and viewed child pornography on USPS computers.

A search warrant executed at Mantha’s home found number of thumb drives containing child pornograpy.

Within Mantha’s materials was a video depicting Mantha sexually abusing a seven-year-old boy in 2000 or 2001.

Investigators located the victim, then an adult, who confirmed the abuse.

Mantha plead guilty in 2018 to one count of producing child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography, and one count of possession of child pornography.

A Federal Court judge sentenced him to 16 years and four months in prison in 2018. That sentence was vacated on appeal because of an error in calculating the federal sentencing guidelines.

Mantha received his sentence for the second time on Thursday, June 25. For the second time his sentence is 16 years and four months in federal prison.
