WORCESTER – Saint Vincent Hospital announced on Thursday, March 18, adjusted visitation policies for those visiting patients.

The new policy allows inpatients, outpatient surgical, and procedural patients, who are not COVID-19 positive, one visitor per day from 10 AM until 7 PM daily.

Patients in the Emergency Room may also have a visitor, provided they are in a private room and not COVID positive or potentially COVID positive.

The current visitor policy for the Center for Women and Infants has not changed.

Exceptions include end-of-life situations, patients under the age of 18, and patients who need a support person for cognitive or physical reasons.

The hospital screens each visitor for symptoms prior to entering the hospital. All Visitors must wear masks during their entire visit and practice social distancing and hand hygiene.

The Hospital will deny access to any visitor not meeting screening criteria.
