The Massachusetts State Police [MSP] announced on Wednesday, November 25, that its Division of Field Services will deploy additional patrols across the state over the Thanksgiving holiday and weekend.
The additional deployments are in response to increased traffic volume and opportunities for alcohol consumption.
Extra patrols will complement regular barracks patrols in each of the five Massachusetts regions.
MSP will also deploy sobriety checkpoints in Central and Northeastern Massachusetts.
Additional patrols will be deployed on Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29, as well.
