Statue Returned to Special Education School in Leicester

Staff members at the McAuley Nazareth Home for Boys in Leicester are asking for help from the public in locating a statue stolen from its property in Leicester.

The statue depicts Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament and the Qur’an.

The Nazareth Home is a special education school and group home at 77 Mulberry St. It serves the needs of emotionally and behaviorally challenged youth between ages six to 18 and operates special education programs that serve residential and day students from kindergarten through 8th grade.

Anyone with information about the theft of the statue is asked to contact the Leicester Police Department at (508) 892-7010.
