WORCESTER – A man and woman were arrested Monday morning after an officer discovered the vehicle they were in was reported stolen.
According to the Worcester Police Department, an officer ran the plate of a Toyota sedan after it made a sudden turn into the parking lot of CVS on Lincoln Street at around 7:30 AM.
The driver, Sonia Bracero, 38, of Auburn, entered the store as the officer called for assistance.
The passenger inside the vehicle, Juan Gildelamadrid, 42, of Worcester, initially attempted to walk away from the scene, but was detained by officers.
Gildelamadrid was arrested for Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle. He also had three outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Bracero faces charges of:
- Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle;
- Use of a Motor Vehicle without Authority; and
- Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License.
