Sturbridge Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Man Who Stole $1,000 Worth of Gift Cards from Walmart

STURBRIDGE – The Sturbridge Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man suspected of stealing $1,000 worth of gift cards from Sturbridge Walmart.

According to the Sturbridge PD, the man photoed below entered Walmart on Thursday, April 11, selected two gift cards and went to the cash register. 

The man asked that the cashier put $500 on each gift card. Believing the transaction was suspicious, the cashier left the register to speak with the manager. While the cashier was away from the register, the subject was able to reach around the counter and authorize both gift cards for $500.00 each.
