WORCESTER – The organizers of the Worcester Summer Jam Classic 8 hold a fundraiser on Sunday, July 14, at Noamesco International Bar and Lounge at 43 Pleasant St.

DJ Jack Frawst will perform at the fundraiser.

Attendees are asked to adhere to the event’s dress code: white for those born in the 80s and earlier, black for 90s and later babies.

The cost to attend the fundraiser is $20. Get tickets here. The event is from 3 PM to 8 PM.

Funds raised at the event Sunday will support the production of the Worcester Summer Jam Classis on Aug. 10.

The Summer Jam Classic is a free, all-day basketball tournament at Cousy Courts at Crompton Park, at 47 Quinsigamond Ave in Worcester. The event was held at Grant Square Park for its first four years. This year will mark the fourth at Crompton Park.

A team led by Worcester resident Anthony Barbosa organizes the event.

Attendance at the annual event has grown over each year. At the last Summer Jam Classic at Grant Hill Park, the event attracted around 500 throughout the course of the day. Last year, the third at Crompton Park, the event attracted about 3,200.

Last year, the tournament featured 10 teams which included both professional and amateur athletes from Worcester and surrounding communities, as well as from out-of-state. It also included one game featuring local high school boys, another showcasing local high school girls, and a game with local students from seventh to ninth grade.

Details on the event this year are expected to be released soon.
