WORCESTER – The Worcester Public Schools launched its final survey for renaming the Chandler Magnet Elementary School, at 525 Chandler St.
The Chandler Magnet School and La Familia Dual Language School merged in 2023 after the Diocese of Worcester ended the La Familia School’s lease. The school department plans for the merged schools on Chandler Street to become the city’s first full dual language school.
Worcester Public Schools developed three options of names for the merged schools through public meetings and suggestions from the community.
The three options for the new name are:
- La Familia Chandler Magnet School
- Nuestra Dual Language Magnet School
- Worcester Dual Language Magnet School
