The Massachusetts State Police [MSP] added a man wanted in connection with a shooting in Worcester to the state’s Most Wanted Fugitive List.
According to MSP, a warrant originally issued for Jefferey Beltre-Rojas, 27, included charges of Armed Assault with Intent to Murder. Police suspect Beltre Rojas of involvement in the July 9, 2020 shooting of Luis Tiro-Romero inside a residence on Mount Pleasant Street.
After the warrant for Beltre-Rojas was issued, Tiro-Romero died 2021 as a result of injuries sustained in the shooting. Prosecutors secured upgraded charges against Beltre-Rojas for Murder.
Two alleged accomplices in the shooting are already in custody.
Beltre-Rojas is 5’7” tall and about 250 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a mole on his left cheek. Beltre-Rojas has multiple tattoos on his neck and arms, including the image of a pair of lips on the left side of his neck.
MSP warns that Beltre-Rojas is actively avoiding apprehension and should be considered armed and dangerous.
