WORCESTER – Massachusetts State Troopers on patrol in Worcester on Sunday, July 26, arrested Daniel McGreevey, 27, of Sutton, for illegally possessing a firearm and a Class B drug.
McGreevey was a passenger in a 2004 Volvo when Troopers stopped the vehicle around 1:30 AM. During the stop, McGreevey was found to have an active arrest warrant from Uxbridge District Court.
McGreevey was found to be in possession of a Suboxone and a loaded .32 caliber Davis Industries firearm with a defaced serial number.
McGreevey was taken to State Police barracks in Holden for processing and held on $2,540 bail, pending arraignment. He faces the outstanding warrant and charges of:
- Possession of a firearm without FID card
- Possession of ammunition without FID card
- Carrying loaded firearm
- Receiving firearm with defaced number
- Possession of Class B drug
