The average cost of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline is up seven cents across Massachusetts this week and stands at $2.67 per gallon — the highest price since the summer of 2015.

“Demand is at record levels for this time of year – more drivers are hitting the roads as warmer weather starts to spread across the country,” said Mary Maguire, AAA Northeast Director of Public and Legislative Affairs. “If this trend of high demand and declining supply continues, drivers are likely to see pump prices continue to climb as the country settles into spring.”

According to AAA, the Massachusetts price is nine cents below the national average for regular unleaded of $2.76. In 2017 at this time, the average price in the statewas 35 cents lower at $2.32.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $2.53 to a high of $2.99.

Today’s local gas prices and their ranges are as follows:

Self Serve                                        Grade

$2.67 ($2.53-$2.99)                         Regular Unleaded

$2.93 ($2.67-$3.39)                         Midgrade Unleaded

$3.11 ($2.85-$3.49)                         Premium Unleaded

$3.01 ($2.89-$3.19)                         Diesel
