After Year-Long Wait and $1M Renovation, Tavolino in Westborough to Reopen

WESTBOROUGH- Nearly a year ago, one of Westborough’s favorite spots for authentic Italian cuisine closed due to water damage after a faulty water heater erupted.

“It was a crazy, incredible engineering problem,” said Graham Silliman, owner of Tavolino at 33 East Main St. in Westborough. “All electrical and HVAC needed to be replaced over the past year.”

In one week — Friday, February 7 — Tavolino will re-open after a $1 million renovation.

Thanks to the year-long wait, Silliman predicts a high volume of business when the restaurant reopens thanks to “pent up demand” from customers.

“There’s enough talk. We have customers showing up to the restaurant asking if we are open. We have the pulse of our loyal customers who would like to come back,” Silliman said.

Chef Brian Boudreau will prepare special menu selections for the restaurant’s reopening.

Tavolino will be open  Monday thru Thursday 11:30 AM to 9 PM, Friday thru Saturday 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM and Sunday 12 PM to 9 PM.
