All the Things You Need to do This Weekend in Worcester

Even though the snow is already here, Worcester is officially welcoming winter this Saturday! Celebrate the season by walking in a winter wonderland or warm up inside to see a great show.

This weekend will have you saying woohoo at the zoo! Southwick’s Zoo! Southwick’s Zoo is hosting their Winter Wonderland event every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 29th. From 4:30 to 9:30 PM, guests are invited to ride the train through the Enchanted Forest which is surrounded by dazzling light displays. Visitors will be able to meet Santa’s animal friends at the petting zoo, find Rudy the Reindeer in the Adventure Maze, and enjoy live entertainment with a breathtaking new show in the heated tent called Cirque de Holiday. Tickets for Southwick’s Zoo’s Winter Wonderland are $25 for adults and $20 for children.

Tower Hill Botanical Garden is welcoming the winter with snowflakes, delicious treats that were baked, and much more! Tower Hill is holding their daytime event called Winter Wonderland on Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 AM to 3 PM. In preparation for the holidays, the indoor facilities will be decorated, their cafe will be offering seasonal foods, and their nature shop will be selling nature-themed gifts. Guests are encouraged to walk around the outdoor gardens for fresh air and a beautiful view, and afterwards, warm up inside their greenhouse conservatories that are filled with subtropical plants.

Share some fun with the ones you love! This Saturday, The EcoTarium is presenting a class for their Budding Scientists program called Budding Scientists: Young Naturalist Physics Fun. During the event, children and parent teams conduct simple and safe science experiments to learn about the world around them. This program is geared for children 4-6 and are limited to 10 teams. Santa Claus is coming to Worcester this Sunday! From 10:30 AM to 2 PM, make the family happy with a tasty brunch at the Beechwood Hotel on 363 Plantation Street. Be sure to bring a camera because Santa Claus will be visiting each table!

You will be star struck this Saturday! With a ticket to the Holiday Evening With the Stars at Maxwell Luciano’s Banquet and Conference Center on 2 Washington Square, you will listen to all the legendary superstars of the decades!
