WORCESTER – Another warm, fun-filled summer weekend is on it’s way! As July comes to a close, it’s time to start taking advantage of all of the summer weekends that are left. 

Check out our list of the top events to check out this weekend in Worcester. Listen to some music, go see a show, eat all of the blueberries your heart desires, and take advantage of this final weekend in July!

Brunch and Broadway

Fill your weekend with music!

Head over to the Worcester Common on Saturday, July 27 at 11 AM for live broadway performances, a Q&A, giveaways, a preview of the upcoming Broadway season, and brunch from Altea’s Eatery. The event will feature Beautiful – The Carole King Musical and A Bronx Tale The Musical. Admission is free, so check it out from 11 AM to 1 PM!

 

The Hanover Theatre Teen Youth Summer Program Presents The Music Man

Brunch and Broadway wasn’t enough?

Make your way to the Hanover Theatre on Friday, July 26 at 7 PM or Saturday, July 27 at 2 PM or 7 PM to see the youth summer program’s performance of The Music Man. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. Support Worcester’s talented teens and go see a wonderful, musical show!

 

Tapas and Beer Night

Are you in the mood for some Spanish food and fun?

From 5 PM to 10 PM on Saturday, July 27, there will be tapas, beer, and other food offerings at the Redemption Rock Brewing Company, 333 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester, MA. You can find the full menu and more information about the event here

The Menzingers at the Palladium Upstairs

Do you prefer pop punk music over showtunes?

The Menzingers, a pop punk band from Philadelphia, will be performing at the Palladium Upstairs on Sunday, July 28 at 8 PM. The event also features the Sidekicks and The Queen of Jeans. Tickets are $25-$28 and can be purchased here.

 

Roast Wars: Battle of the Bull

Need a good laugh after a long work week? Head to the Bull Mansion, 55 Pearl Street in Worcester on Friday, July 26 for a night of comics and roasts. A variety of comics will faceoff, and a judge will pick the winner. Tickets are $10 in advance, purchased here, and $15 at the door. The event runs from 8 PM to 11 PM. 

 

5th Annual Blueberry Festival

Though this festival is not in Worcester, it is definitely not an event to miss!

Located at the Charlton Arts and Activities Center, 4 Dresser Hill Road in Charlton, this festival features live music, a live animal show, raffles, horse rides, face painting, vendors and exhibits, blueberry pastries, food trucks, and more! The festival is on Sunday, July 28 from 10 AM to 4 PM, and admission is free. Bring the whole family and check it out! More information about the event can be found here.
