All the Things You Need to Do this Weekend in Worcester

Are you exhausted by another work week? Use the weekend to refuel!

Saturday and Sunday should be your fun days. Spend your time off experiencing all the local entertainment in Worcester.

ThisWeekinWorcester.com will help you make the most of your weekend. Enjoy time with your family as you try a new hobby together, feel like a celebrity as you await the Oscars, and relax as you celebrate the life and music of an iconic musician.

Use your heart to make some art this Saturday!

Bring the family to the Worcester Center for Crafts at 25 Sagamore Road for their upcoming activity — Family Metals: Folding Metal Hearts.

Learn how to forge and fold thin sheets of copper to create heart shaped pendants, earrings, or key fobs in any color! Heat things up with a blow torch, but do not worry, no experience is required to make this craft! By the end of the class, you have gifts for everyone!

Get your tickets ahead of time for a family friendly day! The event starts at 10:30 AM.

Bring in Oscars night feeling like a superstar!

Instead of watching celebrities taking the runway, claim your own spotlight at the Dark Rose Saloon’s Broadway Show tunes event this Sunday from 8 PM to 10 PM.

Walk down their red carpet and sing along as Mark Mummert plays all of Broadway’s classics at the piano bar. Sip craft cocktails and their specialty theme cocktail, “Tale of Two Powers.”

Dress in your formal wear and prepare for a night of glamour.

Happy Birthday Bob Marley!

This Saturday the Worcester Youth Center at 326 Chandler Street is throwing their 15th Annual Bob Marley Birthday Bash — a huge party to commemorate Bob Marley’s birthday.

Join them from 1 PM to 5 PM for performers, trivia, birthday cake, and a film celebrating the life of Robert Nesta Marley.

For role-playing enthusiasts!

This Saturday and Sunday the DCU Center is hosting the first ever New England LARP Expo 2020. LARP stands for Live Action Role Playing, which is a real life experience where players’ imagination comes to life as they act as the characters they create.

The expo will bring the LARP community together with vendors, panels, workshops, and more. Immerse yourself in a life-like gaming experience.

Visit the Muse Bar and Kitchen for an art experience that will make you feel glamorous.

This Sunday at 6 PM, the Muse Bar and Kitchen is holding a scarf marbling event! Not great at crafts? That is no problem here! Scarf marbling requires no skills or experiences and the accessory will look like it is from a boutique.

Tickets are $42 per person. Be a fashion designer and create art you can wear.
